At KC Connects, Inc., we’re dedicated to nurturing the creative potential of youth, particularly those who may not have access to the arts in traditional settings. Our workshops and mentorship programs are designed to provide hands-on experience, guided by industry professionals, that inspire confidence, creativity, and growth. Whether it’s learning the technical skills required for film production or exploring personal expression through performance arts, we have a program for every aspiring young creative.
Workshops
Our workshops are immersive and provide real-world experiences that help youth discover their talents and passions. These sessions range from beginner to advanced levels and cater to various age groups, particularly students in grades 6-12.
Mentorship Programs
Our mentorship programs connect youth with experienced professionals in the creative and performing arts. These one-on-one or small group mentorships are designed to provide ongoing guidance and support as students pursue their artistic goals.
Virtual Mentorship
Students are paired with a mentor who provides personalized guidance through virtual platforms, making it accessible to participants wherever they are.
Topics include script feedback, career advice, or learning new creative skills.
On-Set Training
For students passionate about TV and film, this program offers real-world experience on actual film sets.
Mentorships cover behind-the-scenes work such as directing, producing, set design, and more.
Creative Industry Internship
Our internship program gives students a chance to work with local industry professionals in creative fields like filmmaking, graphic design, and performing arts. Interns will get hands-on experience, building their portfolios while learning the ins and outs of the creative industry.
